After what feels like 30 years since we last built a new building on campus, we’re excited to announce that the ground is finally moving on our Built for More Capital Campaign and project! Well, it’s actually been over 30 years, but who’s counting? And it’s been almost a year since our groundbreaking ceremony, but who’s keeping track of time when you’re waiting for heavy machinery to start digging? In any case, our builder, Mainstay Construction, now has excavators, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery hard at work on the back field, and in this and future blog posts, we’ll give you an update on the latest progress and why this project is so important to the Lancer family.

Project Details:
Our new upper school building will be an impressive 45,000 square feet and two stories tall. It’s being designed to create a fantastic learning environment for our students. We’re also constructing a new parking lot that will hold about 150 cars, which will be a great help to our staff, students, and visitors.

Project Progress:
We’re thrilled to report that we’ve finally overcome the obstacles we faced with the county and are now making significant progress on the project. Heavy machinery, including excavators and bulldozers, are in action on the back field, preparing the ground for the new building and parking lot. We’ve raised over $7 million in pledges so far towards this $15 million project. In the meantime, we are grateful to partner with DFCU Financial who is providing financing for the project to ensure it is completed.

Built for More:
Our campaign and project, “Built for More,” is all about investing in our staff and students and providing them with the resources they need to achieve great things. We’ve seen how they’ve maximized our current facilities and resources, but we also know that they are “Built for More.” That’s why we’re excited to provide them with a new upper school building that will help them maximize their potential. By creating a space that is truly “Built for More,” we’re demonstrating our commitment to their growth and development. We can’t wait to see how our staff and students will utilize this new space to continue to excel and achieve their goals.

Future Plans:
We are on target to complete the project in time for the 2024-2025 school year. We know it’s a big undertaking, but we’re excited about the progress we’ve made so far and can’t wait to see the new building take shape. Keep checking ccslancers.com/build for updates on our progress.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Built for More project so far, and please continue to help us close the gap on that $15 million. No matter what your giving capacity, we are so very grateful for all who give as we demonstrate to the Lancer community that we are in this together.  Together, we are about to create an amazing new space for our students to learn and grow.
