Dear Lancer Family,
I pray as you receive this email your family is safe and healthy. We are definitely walking through unprecedented times; yet, I have seen so many come together for the common good. This situation is providing us with opportunities to serve and care for one another in ways that we have not experienced before. COVID-19 is forcing us to live differently, and it’s important that we begin to see and acknowledge God’s hand in the midst of the chaotic circumstances. My prayer is that we come together as God’s people to let those around us know that our faith is real, and that it’s okay to trust a living God who has ALL of this under His control. This thought is what is providing me calm during this time, I trust it brings you calm as well.
Therefore, in the spirit of focusing on positive outcomes of this current situation, I would like to give a great big “SHOUT OUT” to the US faculty. One week ago, we began to plan how to serve you by taking learning online, in order to do our part to help flatten the curve and to prevent the spread of this virus. Even though we have been on Spring Break, our teachers and US team have been preparing to teach remotely beginning, Tuesday, March 24th. I am so proud of their efforts and positive attitude during these past few days. They have truly risen to the occasion, and they deserve much credit. I assure you that much thought has been given to how we can continue your child’s quality education remotely.
On Monday, March 23rd, our US faculty will meet virtually to make the final preparations for this transition. Although we understand that there may be some bumps along the road, we anticipate a successful launch due to the efforts of our faculty and staff. We have always welcomed our partnership with families, but these coming days will take our existing partnership to new levels. I am confident, together and with God’s help, we will not just survive this current situation, but we will rise above and write the playbook for future generations. We will thrive and walk away stronger than before.
Please know that our desire is to provide your family with the best possible outcome to finish this school year, despite these less than desirable circumstances. If you have any questions for us, do not hesitate to reach out. You can reach us all via email, as the US will be operating 100% remotely. I will be “going live” on Instagram through our “ccsupperschool” account. I welcome you to join us and allow your student to follow our account as well. I hope to provide a sense of community through this social media vehicle. I will host students and pastors to spread joy, encouragement, and cheer through various means. All of these efforts will serve as a way to help us all draw together and support one another as we make the best of this situation through humor and a good dose of God’s love.
We will continue to communicate with you in the coming days through email. We understand there are aspects of what was to be in the coming months that will no longer be, and we want to communicate with you about each and every one of those details in the days ahead. Additionally, details about how guidance services will continue to serve you will be communicated next week. However, the focus this coming week will be placed on launching our remote learning for our US students. We will send continuous communications to you, and we do appreciate your patience with us as we make the best of this very fluid situation. Attached please find two documents: The first document includes frequently asked questions (FAQ’s) to better understand how the “virtual school day” will look and what to expect. The second document provides the rationale for the virtually mirroring of the regular school day. Please invest a few minutes to review both.
We love your students! I dearly miss them all already. We love you! We pray that ALL will remain safe and healthy. Please, take the recommendations seriously, and let’s all do our part to beat this virus and save as many lives as we can. It’s not a mistake that we are alive for such a time as this – Esther 4:14.
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. – – 2 Thessalonians 3:16
Trusting in a God that loves us ALL deeply,
Cari and Anthony Campbell
