Joseph Waggoner, CEO of the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority, personally came to Cambridge Christian to award our 7th grade team 1st place in the USF/Selmon Expressway Bridge Building Competition. The contest has both a middle school and a high school section and wasopen to both public and private schools. Mr. Waggoner said CAMBRIDGE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL swept the contest, taking first, second, and third place! He also said that the score of our first place team was higher than the high school teams’ scores. The winning bridge weighed less than a hamburger, but held over 900 times its weight, finally breaking at app 282 lbs. Congratulations to Jett Rydell, Brandon Byers, Andrew Richardson and their families!
