Tampa Prep freshman Lilly Berry and Cambridge Christian sophomore Latanna Stone and senior Ashley Zagers placed in the top 10 after Saturday’s second round of the Class A state tournament in Howey-in-the-Hills.
TAMPA — Into the wind from almost 150 yards — and tied for the lead — Cambridge Christian senior Ashley Zagers took aim at the par-4, 18th hole pin Tuesday afternoon at Westchase Golf Club. No worries.
Stone, a sophomore, shot a 5 under 66 to win the individual championship by two shots over teammate Ashley Zagers and defending tournament champion Alyssa Lamoureux of Seminole.
